Who says « Brothers » also says religious community and that’s what we are first and foremost. Therefore, within our numerous activities and fields of action, there is a place for the work of the land.
In 2005, we started cultivating lingonberries (Vaccinium vitis-idaea) on a parcel of our land located at Lac-Etchemin, in the province of Québec. It was quite a venture since there was not much information on the subject and we knew no one that had succeded in growing lingonberries on a small commercial scale.
Over time, we also learned to master the art of micropropagation or tissue culture. We are now able to micropropagate tens of thousands of plants annually, selected from the cultivars that offer the best productivity in our fields.
Our approach is one of collaboration with all those interested in growing lingonberries, specially when the projects are small scale.
